Sub-specialty Certification Program
HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROMOTION CONSULTING
The American Institute of Health Care Professionals, Inc. offers a sub-specialty program for it's members who are certified through its Health Care Life Coach Certification Program.
This program consists of a full continuing education program focused on Wellness and Health Care Promotion Consulting.
This certification focuses on the validation of the attainment of advanced continuing education, knowledge and skills related to advanced concepts in educating clients and consulting with clients related to specific programs that are designed to promote health and wellness. Certified members learn theory and processes related to client self-healing, self-care and wellness promotion. Clients are served by their Certified Health Care Life Coach to develop an individualized plan of self-care which meets their defined needs for long-term health and wellness.
Requirements for Entry
Candidates must have achieved and have maintained current Certitification as a Certified Health Care Life Coach by the American Institute of Health Care Professionals, Inc., in order to enter this program of study and certification. To preview information on the entry level program, click here.
Certification
Certified Health Care Life Coach with a Sub-Specialty in Health and Wellness Promotion Consulting requires attainment of the following certification criteria:
- Completion of an official, established education program to prepare individuals for the practice of Health Care Life Coaching with a focus on health promtion and wellness.
Candidates for the Certification must successfully complete the continuing education program endorsed by The American Institute of Health Care Professionals, Inc. Completion of the required education courses qualifies the educational component necessary to apply for this sub-specialty Certification. Certification- Identification & Credentials
Those applicants who become certified by the AIHCP in the Health Care Life Coaching sub-specialty program may use the initials/credential HCLC-C, after their names ("HEALTH CARE LIFE COACH-CERTIFIED ") as well as add the title Certified Health Care Life Coach in Health and Wellness Promotion Consulting to their resumes and professional practice titles.
Timeline
All certifications shall be for a period of 4 years from the date that the initial certification.
Certification and Sub-Specialty Certification
At the time the Sub-Specialty Certification is received, candidate must be in good standing and have mainted their certification as a "Health Care Life Coach-Certified." A new, sub-specialty Certificate will be confered to the certified member specifically for the sub-specialty certification. The sub-specialty certification shall remain active for as along as the certified member maintains their orginal Health Care Life Coach Certification with the American Institute of Health Care Professionals. Subsequent recertification of their original Health Care Life Coach Certification allows for the continuation of the sub-specialty certification without any extra fees or additional CE recertification requirements.
Certificate
Those applicants who have successfully achieved certification, or recertification receive a large size official Certificate attesting to certification, as well as an official letter of notification. The certificate is suitable for framing and details the official professional certification title, initials that may be used, and time frames for certification. Those recertifying receive a new, updated certificate. Wallet size identification cards of certification are also presented. Candidate achieving this sub-specialty certification will receive an additional printed certificate.
Fee Schedule
- There is a one-time Sub-Specialty Certification fee that is due at the time of application for the sub-specialty certification. The one time certification fee for the sub-specialty is $ 200.00. Payment in full is due at the time of application.
- The fee for Recertification for the sub-specialty practice is included in the general recertification fee for the intial certification (Health Cre Life Coach-Certified.)
- Major credit cards are accepted. Check and money orders are to be payable to : The American Institute of Healthcare Professionals or AIHCP.
Education Program
Certified Health Care Life Coaches must successfully complete the continuing education courses specifically designed for the sub-specialty practice, in order to be conferred the sub-specialty certification. Courses/Curriculum: access here.
