This course is the second foundational course for the Legal Nurse Consulting continuing education program and provides for comprehensive learning of more of the current principles and practices and theories of Legal Nurse Consulting today. Students undertake an in depth study of the role, responsibilities, and practice options of a professional registered nurse practicing legal nurse consulting. Solid foundational principles of nursing law are examined as well as a model of research and practice for the legal nurse. This course provides a major emphasis on various types of cases that legal nurses consult on, including theory, practice and application for consulting. Course Code: LN 420. Contact hours of continuing education = 45.

Pre-requisite: you must have successfully completed LN 400: Legal Nurse Consulting Theory & Practice I, before enrolling into this continuing education course.

This course is particularly designed for those who would like to apply for Certification as a "Certified Specialist by the American College of Legal Nurse Consulting.

TIME FRAME: You are allotted two years from the date of enrollment, to complete all of the courses in this continuing education program (all four (4) courses). There are no set time-frames per course, other than the two year allotted time. If you do not complete the courses within the two-year time-frame, you will be removed from the course and an "incomplete" will be recorded for you in our records. Also, if you would like to complete the courses after this two-year expiration time, you would need to register and pay the course tuition fee again.

Those who score below the minimum of 70% will be contacted by the American College of Legal Nurse Consulting and options for completing additional course work to achieve a passing score, will be presented.
